Graphics: 2.0

The Baseball Simulator 1000 has below average graphics at best. The good thing about the design is the neat screen layout which makes the game a more realistic version of real-life baseball pitches. Something else worth appreciating is the use of a vibrant color scheme.

On the other hand, the graphics are heavily pixelated. The flaw is particularly glaring in Space and Grass stadium settings. The characters are also poorly designed and animated.

Gameplay: 4.0

Baseball Simulator 1000 is a simulation sports video game. There is no specific storyline, which is one of the game’s main drawbacks. However, where it lacks in narrative, it makes up for in amazing challenges and exciting stages.

The aim is to win the league pennant, which is baseball lingo for the championship title. You will play a full-length season with up to 6 teams per division. The gameplay involves choosing one team and controlling players to execute different moves like pitching and hitting. For each activity, you earn points that will contribute to your team’s final score. Whichever team has the highest count at the end wins.
Something unique about this is the unorthodox game dynamics. They allow you to do awesome things like knock down opponents and have hits explode on contact.

Finally, the game supports a multiplayer versus mode. It allows a maximum of 2 players to participate simultaneously and compete to get the most points.

Controls: 4.0

The game can be played on a wide array of controllers. Some of these gadgets include the Wii U platform’s GamePad, Pro Controller, Remote, and Remote + Classic controller. The devices make tackling various gameplay challenges easier by increasing precision. That way whether you are pitching or hitting, you will have an enjoyable gaming experience. In a nutshell, the game’s controls are easy to understand and very efficient.

Replay Value: 3.0

Baseball Simulator 1000 has above average replay value. One good thing about the game is that it offers multiple play options, allowing you to change things like the team lineup and setting. The scoring system is also something that will make you want to play again as you can always improve on previous performance.
However, the absence of a developing plot with variable themes negatively affects replayability. The game is also lacking when it comes to the variety of unlockables.

Ever wanted to play in the baseball major leagues? If your answer is yes, then you may want to start by getting yourself the Baseball Simulator 1000 for Wii U. This fantastic game has a lot to offer in terms of gameplay modes and controls, ensuring you have a pleasantly challenging and entertaining experience. In short, whether you choose to play alone or with a friend, you will have fun.
