Secret Neighbor Review: A Gripping Spin-Off of the Famous Horror Game

Secret Neighbor is an impressive multiplayer survival game where a group of 6 kids breaks into the evil neighbor’s house to rescue their friend. Aware of what they are up to, the old creep will do anything to thwart their plans. Download Secret Neighbor and join the crazy adventure!

Graphics: 4/5

The graphics boast truly Pixar-like quality. Its vibrant colors, detailed modeling of the characters and settings, intensified by ominous music, create the feeling of impending hazards, and ever-rising tension. The environmental sounds deserve special mention: amazingly realistic, they add to the overall atmosphere of thrill and paranoia. The only problem with the graphics is that the bright colors sometimes fuse, making it easy to overlook small objects like keys that are located against the background of the same color.

Gameplay: 5/5

The gameplay features a bold rescue mission that takes place inside the Neighbor’s sinister house. Six kids set off to free their abducted friend, whom the evil Neighbor holds captive in his basement. Players are to work together and search the house floor-by-floor for the hidden keys that unlock the basement door. However, accomplishing that will not be easy because there is a traitor among you, who is none other than the Neighbor himself. The wrongdoer is smart, inventive, and determined to take you down one by one. He knows how to disguise himself as a kid or even a piece of furniture to outwit and entrap you. You do not know who you can trust, but you still need to work together if you want to survive the terrible ordeal and punish the nasty kidnapper.

Controls: 3/5

Some Secret Neighbor reviews call the game’s controls stiff and confusing. It takes a while to learn to maneuver your character around the house, cluttered with various objects that you trip over and bump into. Occasional graphical glitches and technical lags ruin the fun too, forcing you to go back and start again.

Replay Value: 5/5

Despite some infrequent technical issues, Secret Neighbor holds a great replay potential because it is so fun, scary, and very unpredictable. Each character has unique skills, playstyles, and responsibilities, so the game feels different every time you play it in a new disguise.

The Bottom Line

You absolutely must download Secret Neighbor if you like a fun-packed adventure multiplayer with elements of a good thriller, such as spooky music, hair-raising sounds, suspenseful atmosphere, and jumpscare moments. The game makes you think fast, be creative, learn to cooperate with your teammates, and overcome difficulties together.
