Super Animal Royale Expected on Nintendo Switch
One of the most unusual Battle Royale games – Super Animal Royale – was only available on PC and Mac until recently. But now the developers plan to land on consoles, and Xbox be the first, though not the last: Nintendo Switch and PlayStation releases are also announced. On June 1, the game will hit Xbox. At the same day, a massive update will start rolling out, delivering redesigned maps, minor fixes, and the new Animal Pass season.
Super Animal Royale is a typical indie take on mainstream genre (that is – nothing typical about it). It’s a top-down 2D game where up to 64 players choose various animals as characters and fight until there’s only one left. These cute animals using fire weapons and armor look a bit shocking, but behind that style there is a quality game with immersive gameplay and good balance. In addition, players can practice breeding to form their own unique species.
The console release will take a little more time to be made properly. This implies cross-play as well as cross-save. Its current free-to-play monetization model will also be preserved. Well, when it hits Nintendo Switch, players will have some antidote from Animal Crossing’s sweetness. Let’s see the other side of these cute and nice creatures!
