The game has amazing 3D graphics. The backgrounds and props are beautifully designed. The use of vibrant colors is also something worth noting as it matches the energetic party vibes. The animated characters are also expertly designed with no motion delays whether they are dancing or riding rail carts. The only negative thing about the graphics is the slight pixelation present on the edges of most images.
The gameplay is arguably the best things about Mario Party: The Top 100. There are 100 different games for you to choose from. Each has its own set of objectives that will keep you engaged. While in the single-player Minigame Match mode, all these games are available on one board map. You have to move from one to the next completing the different tasks to open subsequent mini-games. There is also a Freeplay Mode that gives you a chance to select specific challenges.
You also have to collect coins and stars that will allow you to access various unlockables. Playable characters are one of the rewards offered. There are many for you to choose from including Waluigi, Mario, Rosalina and even Yoshi.
The game also supports multiplayer modes with a maximum capacity of 4 players for either co-op or rival participation. Playing in this setting opens up unique mini-games for you and your friends to enjoy, including soccer and tennis doubles.
